Less is often more - and a subtle enhancement often makes people much more attractive than major interventions. "The people who come to me want natural results. They want to look younger and fresher, but by no means 'artificial'," says Dr. Elisabeth Zott-Schuhmachers, a specialist in aesthetic dermatology, based on her experience of 20 years in the profession. Thanks to her expertise and empathy, she quickly recognizes which treatment brings the optimal result for whom: "I often sense what people really want when they complain that their gaze has become so tired, or the skin shows too little elasticity," explains Zott-Schuhmachers.
The fact that most of her patients have remained loyal to the doctor over many years is rooted precisely in this trust. In the two fully equipped treatment rooms, the specialist sees over 6000 patients per year. "Aesthetics has a lot to do with intimacy and trust. That's why patients are treated exclusively by me."
The dermatologist's specialty is the face and here in particular the application of Botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers.
To this day, she works with botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers, offers laser treatments, thread lifting, mesotherapy, skin boosters, and other treatment methods. "I am someone who is concerned with safety. So I only use products that degrade and can be dissolved," explains Zott-Schuhmachers of her offerings.
Your patients benefit from the years of experience the doctor has with wrinkle smoothers. For years, she has been a sought-after speaker for training other specialists, teaching them the correct use of the products. She sees her work as an art. "I think it's great to bring something out of a face," explains Zott-Schuhmachers. "You can achieve fantastic results on the face, neck, décolleté, and hands."
Throughout her years of clinical work, the dermatologist has found that for optimal aesthetic results, it is best to divide treatment into several small procedures and not to do too much at once. This avoids the risk of the face looking unnatural or puffy. Aesthetic medicine and facial rejuvenation should be imagined as a long journey that you take together with your doctor.
The skin surface is also important for the overall impression, so the dermatologist offers a wide range of treatments and therapies that refine the skin's appearance, reduce pigmentation spots and veins, and shrink pores. For local changes such as spider veins, age and sun spots, acne scars, and rosacea, the beauty specialist specifically uses various lasers in combination with other procedures.
"I consider it a privilege to use my knowledge for the health and well-being of people."

"We have eight modern and high-quality dermatological laser systems that make special applications possible," says Zott-Schuhmachers. In the affiliated cosmetic institute, three beauticians under the supervision of the dermatologist perform acne treatments and skin-refining therapies, such as microneedling, jetpeel, various peels, hydrafacial, and microdermabrasion. A specially trained podiatrist offers medical foot care at the highest level.
In addition to aesthetic procedures, Dr. Zott-Schuhmachers masters the entire spectrum of dermatology. About one-third of patients consult the expert for classic skin problems. She places special emphasis on skin cancer prevention. "That is the greatest responsibility we dermatologists have," Zott-Schuhmachers points out. She takes an hour to thoroughly examine moles and birthmarks. With special photo-video software, she documents suspicious skin areas to check for changes at the next preventive appointment. "An early form of skin cancer can only be recognized over time," says the Munich resident by choice. Why this elaborate diagnostics? Other dermatologists simply remove moles and birthmarks generously. "I don't want to operate on people unnecessarily, only if an area is really suspicious."
Zott-Schuhmachers is an aesthete through and through. She also enjoys beautiful things in her private life. Art has a fixed place in her life. "I like good food, music, theater, and opera." In addition, she pursues an unusual hobby with diving, which is also dedicated to beauty: "I love the colors and splendor of the underwater world." For her, safety is at least as important as the thrill of beauty, both above and below water: For ten years, the doctor has also been a trained rescue diver.
