The topic of longevity The topic is currently more present than ever. Almost daily, new methods are reported that predict with promising results that aging cannot be completely stopped, but at least slowed down.
Worldwide, more and more longevity centers are opening and various superfoods and supplements are declared as ultimate anti-aging miracle weapons. Certain diets are praised to the skies, only to be replaced a few months later by another supposedly better one.
We all age, that is completely natural, and this process begins at the moment of our birth. This becomes increasingly visible, especially when it comes to the skin, from the age of 25.
I have always been interested in the topic of health. By reading countless books and testing various methods, I now have a wealth of experience from which I am happy to share my personal favorites here. I firmly believe that it is precisely these habits that lead to me often looking into faces full of astonishment when I reveal my age.
I take it in the morning on an empty stomach , mix it with a gut supplement (ION Gut Support - Bella Hadid is also a fan) and drink this combination every morning. Known primarily as a spice, oregano oil is a true superpower for supporting overall health: It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral properties and is also rich in antioxidants that combat free radicals.
It strengthens the stomach lining, stimulates digestion, and due to its strong antibacterial effect, it is sometimes even used in cases of antibiotic resistance. The list of positive properties is endless and I am truly a big fan.
When buying, however, I would definitely make sure that it is wild oregano oil and it should definitely be diluted before taking. Pregnant women should not consume oregano oil as it can trigger premature labor. Otherwise, there are no known side effects to me. A true miracle remedy!

There is no perfect diet and anyway, every person has very different needs in this regard. The following things I personally try to keep in mind and integrate into my diet:
1. Protein in the morningIntegrating enough protein into breakfast is one of the most important and easiest anti-aging tricks for me. I like to eat eggs or avocado toast with cottage cheese. A protein-rich breakfast is also supposed to ensure that the hormone balance in women remains balanced.
2. Matcha instead of coffee
I discovered the tropical fruits for the first time on vacation two years ago and have been the biggest fan ever since. If I had to choose one fruit to support anti-aging from the inside out, it would be mangosteen.
Mangosteens have extraordinarily effective defense mechanisms and strong bioactive substances that protect them from pathogens and predators. These properties also benefit us through consumption.
.
Xanthones, which are abundant in the fruit, belong to the so-called super antioxidants and are effective anti-inflammatories as well as a powerful anti-aging substance. Of all known sources of xanthones, mangosteen contains the highest concentration in nature and thus also slows down the aging process to some extent. Unfortunately, they are difficult to obtain and very expensive in this country.
3. Fermented foods
Our gut health significantly contributes to our overall physical condition and particularly to our skin health. The better our intestine is supplied with good intestinal bacteria, the more we literally radiate this outward.
To support a healthy gut flora, there is hardly anything better than fermented foods. I therefore really try to consume something fermented daily. Unpasteurized sauerkraut (always the one from the refrigerated section) is an excellent option, for example.
With just one large tablespoon, the intestine is optimally supplied with the important lactic acid bacteria that we need for a healthy gut. If you don't like sauerkraut at all, you can alternatively choose tempeh, kefir, or kombucha.
4. Broccoli sprouts
These small sprouts, which can also be grown at home, are packed with nutrients and also contain sulforaphane, which is said to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells.
5. Bone broth
The traditional home remedy from the time of our grandparents not only provides the skin with plenty of collagen , but is also wonderful for a healthy microbiome and can help support the healing of leaky gut.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. This simple sentence probably explains the phenomenon of hormesis most easily. Behind it is the theory that much of what would harm the body in excessive doses can have a positive effect on it in small dosages.
Sirtuins, a certain class of enzymes, are activated by hormetic stress like Fasting is activated by physical activity, sauna, or even cold, and is involved in regulating cellular metabolism, DNA repair, and longevity. Personally, I'm a big fan of infrared saunas and try to go to the sauna as often as possible during the winter.
The so-called cold therapy is similarly effective. If you want to take advantage of its positive effects, you need to endure three minutes; less cold exposure has little to no effect.

What many don't know: While exercise is generally healthy, it can also be counterproductive. Specifically, when we overdo it to the extent that our body starts releasing cortisol , the stress hormone. Low-impact workouts like Pilates are very suitable for keeping the cortisol level in the body balanced.
On the other hand, very intense cardio training can trigger a stress reaction in the body in many people. The assumption that more also brings more is not necessarily correct when it comes to sports. From 30 minutes onwards, cortisol secretion tends to increase, which is why 20-minute workouts are often the better choice. Personally, this suits me very well 😉

Low impact workouts keep cortisol in the body in balance.
I love healthy food, I love taking care of myself and treating my body as a kind of temple that I want to treat well and support with small longevity hacks. However, one should never forget to enjoy life to the fullest amidst all the health and wellness routines.
To indulge in ice cream, pasta, or a glass of wine when you feel like it - without a guilty conscience. Because being happy is a very important factor for a long and healthy life.
A little outlook: Of course, my longevity hacks also include supplements. A topic I have been intensively involved with for a long time. I explain my supplement routine in detail in my next column.
