She studied human medicine at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, and during her practical year she gained experience at, among other places, the surgical department of Rigshospitalet University Hospital in Copenhagen and the children's clinic Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka in Warsaw. An Erasmus scholarship also gave her the opportunity to fulfill her dream of a semester abroad in Paris.
