Dr. med. Alexander de Heinrich
Dr. med. (univ.) Alexander de Heinrich | Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery Munich
The details of the surgical spectrum and aesthetic focuses of Dr. Alexander de Heinrich are currently being prepared for you. Look forward to surgery in its excellent form - in the heart of Munich, where medical precision meets a fine sense of natural aesthetics.
“This approach is extremely crucial because aesthetic surgery does not begin with an operation, but with an individual analysis in a personal conversation,” says Dr. de Heinrich. Instead of viewing individual areas in isolation, the specialist analyzes the interplay of skin, tissue, facial expressions, and proportions. Based on this, an individual treatment plan is created—tailored precisely to the specific initial situation and the possible outcome, not standardized. The goal is not the visible "change at all costs," but a result that naturally fits into the overall picture. The personal charisma should be preserved, ideally even appear clearer. Because often it is the subtle, precisely placed corrections that achieve the greatest effect.
His path into medicine began in Vienna, where he was born and raised. Early on, he was interested in working with his hands—precise, concentrated, with a clear result in mind. The choice between a craft profession like that of a carpenter and surgery ultimately favored medicine because, for Dr. de Heinrich, it combines precision with responsibility and intellectual depth. This understanding of surgery as “craftsmanship at the highest level” continues to shape his work today and is reflected in an approach that combines surgical skill with a keen sense for aesthetics.

He completed his doctoral studies at the Medical University of Vienna, accompanied by intensive clinical work during this time. He received formative impulses through international stations in the USA, for example. A stay in New York, made possible by a scholarship from the American Austrian Foundation, and clinical experiences at University Hospitals in Cleveland significantly broadened his professional horizon. Insight into different medical systems and training structures also sharpened his perspective on quality, decision-making processes, and patient care sustainably.
The decision to pursue Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery as a field of work was made during these early clinical experiences. “The breadth of the field convinced me—especially the opportunity to consider functional and aesthetic aspects equally.” For his specialist training, Dr. de Heinrich went to Munich to the Bogenhausen Clinic with Prof. Dr. med. Milomir Ninkovic, one of the most renowned representatives of his field. There he learned the entire spectrum of plastic surgery, including highly complex reconstructive and microsurgical procedures.

In recent years, his focus has increasingly shifted to aesthetic body contouring. A particular focus is on so-called body contouring—especially after significant weight loss or after pregnancies. “Women often struggle with their bodies after pregnancies and breastfeeding and want to regain their old form,” says the dedicated doctor, who has successfully treated many mothers. All these procedures, whether liposuction, abdominoplasty, or breast lift, require a deep understanding of tissue structures and their changes, as well as extensive experience in planning and execution.
Nevertheless, he would prefer to do without the now established term “Mommy Makeover”: “This expression, in my view, reduces the physical changes after pregnancy and breastfeeding too much to a purely aesthetic topic,” explains Dr. de Heinrich. In fact, it often involves significantly more complex changes in the midsection—such as excess skin, changes in breast shape, or functional aspects such as diastasis recti, the separation of the straight abdominal muscles after pregnancies. The goal is therefore not a “transformation,” but the restoration of a coherent body feeling and harmonious proportions.” And so he specializes in performing large-scale body procedures—such as removing an apron of fat on the abdomen—as inconspicuously as possible. “Stigmatizing scars that run across the entire abdomen are, in my opinion, no longer acceptable nowadays,” explains Dr. de Heinrich. In the future, Dr. de Heinrich will also be among the first and probably only users of the innovative “Apyx Ayon System”—one of the most advanced technologies currently available for tissue tightening and body contouring—in Munich. In addition to aesthetic body surgery, his treatment spectrum also includes aesthetic procedures in the facial area, such as eyelid lifts and facelifts.
