Interdisciplinary dialogue at the highest level: a review of the PMC Conference 2026 driven by Mercedes-Benz with experts from cardiology, oncology, gynecology, and more.
Interdisciplinary, exciting, and relevant. High-caliber lectures, a great circle, and an exchange that benefits everyone. These were just some of the enthusiastic voices on the PMC Conference 2026, which took place on January 17 at Lake Tegernsee.
On Friday evening, the PMC members gathered for an exclusive welcome dinner at Bachmair Weissach. In a relaxed atmosphere, toasts were made, discussions were held, and the foundation was laid for an intensive conference weekend before over 90 guests came together on Saturday for a content-rich conference day.
The conference day was once again led by Prof. Dr. med. Dominik Pförringer, who moderated the program with great confidence, professional precision, and a keen sense of timing and atmosphere. With his pointed style, he once again succeeded in linking different topics and fields and creating space for exchange and discussion.
Ten lectures and keynotes from a wide variety of disciplines once again made it clear that Premium Medical Circle stands for professional depth, interdisciplinary dialogue, and open exchange at eye level.
The start was marked by a joint lecture from urology and radiology. Dr. med. Daniel Kaminski and Dr. med. Johannes Stieß provided insights into the modern diagnostics of prostate cancer and impressively showed how closely linked disciplines can lead to more precise decisions and better treatment paths.
This was followed by ENT medicine with Prof. Dr. Christopher Bohr, who focused on the fascination of the voice and practically explained what therapeutic options exist for vocal cord paralysis and the resulting hoarseness.
A brief digital impulse was then set by Doctolib: Felix Loch presented innovative solutions that relieve doctors in everyday practice and open up new ways of communication and care.
It continued interdisciplinarily with the joint lecture from gynecology and endocrinology. Dr. Petra Eisenmann and Dr. Alexandra Schoeneich shed light on the topic "Hormones in Transition" and showed how important the close interlinking of both specialties is, especially during menopause.
Subsequently, PD Dr. Alexander Goedel devoted himself to current developments in cardiology. In his lecture on incretin mimetics (GLP-1 receptor agonists), he classified the opportunities, risks, and the increasing importance of these substances in a differentiated and practical manner.
A special highlight of the morning was the keynote by Dr. Lutz Graumann. Under the title "Recover like a Pro – From Doctors for Doctors," the experienced sports physician showed what doctors can learn from the regeneration of top athletes for their own demanding clinic and practice routine. Whether sleep as a performance-relevant vital value, breathing techniques, power naps, or evening routines, his lecture combined scientific foundation with practical strategies and sparked great interest.
After each lecture, it became apparent how lively the interdisciplinary exchange is: Numerous questions from the audience made it clear how much the topics move. It became visible again and again how doctors from different fields gain new perspectives and learn from each other.
In the afternoon, further specialties came into focus: Prof. Dr. Carina Riediger gave an update on complex oncological visceral surgery in modern abdominal surgery and emphasized how crucial interdisciplinary collaboration is for treatment success.
Dr. Georg Stossier dedicated himself to the topic of longevity in the field of prevention and introduced fasting in the sense of modern Mayr medicine.
The conference day concluded with a lecture by PD Dr. Richard Musil from the field of mental health, who explored the possibilities of acupuncture in depression and trauma, thus addressing an important and increasingly relevant topic.
The breaks were also used intensively for professional exchange and personal conversations. On this day, doctors from Berlin to Munich and from Düsseldorf to Leipzig connected. A vibrant network that extends far beyond the conference.
Saturday evening marked the atmospheric conclusion: At the festive dinner in Freihaus Brenner, discussions, laughter, and networking continued, in the spirit of a network that thinks of medicine not only professionally but also humanly. On Sunday, many participants also took the opportunity to experience selected models firsthand at an exclusive Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience.
"The PMC Conference is a very special moment for us every year. This year, it was larger, more diverse, and even broader in content than previous years. With now 13 departments, great speakers, and strong partners, it shows how much strength is in this network and how everyone benefits from this interdisciplinary exchange," summarizes Stephanie Neureuter, Founder & CEO, Premium Medical Circle.
A heartfelt thanks to our partners Mercedes-Benz, Doctolib, BIOGENA, and Glashütte Original, who made the PMC Conference 2026 possible and enriched it with their support, presence, and content contributions.
