Augenzentrum Prof. Dr. med. Holzer & Prof. Dr. med. Rabsilber
Prof. Tanja M. Rabsilber is a specialist in ophthalmology with many years of experience in clinics, research, and practice. Since 2017, she has been leading the Mannheim location of the eye center – focusing on conservative ophthalmology, diagnostics, and individual patient management. Her signature: precise, empathetic, structured.
After studying in Heidelberg, Prof. Rabsilber worked for many years at the university eye clinic there – most recently as a senior physician. The proximity to science remained: as an adjunct professor, she continues to be active in teaching and is involved in the ethics committee of the medical faculty. Her stance: medically feasible is not the same as medically sensible – what matters is what fits the person.
"We are not concerned with offering the patient what is absolutely possible, but rather a treatment that is realistic and fits their life."
Prof. Dr. med. Tanja M. Radsilber
Together with Prof. Holzer, who is responsible for the surgical focus in Weinheim, Prof. Rabsilber offers cross-location care with a digitally networked patient record. This creates a continuous flow of information that seamlessly connects diagnostics, consultation and therapy – for maximum safety and transparency.
Whether chronic eye diseases, age-related changes, preoperative consultation or second opinion – Prof. Rabsilber takes time, listens, weighs things up. Her patients appreciate the clear communication, the calm presence – and the feeling of being seen not just as a case, but as a person.
Prof. Tanja Rabsilber stands for ophthalmology that is scientifically based, humanely conducted, and ethically reflected – right in the middle of Mannheim, right in the middle of life.
