From idea to implementation – surgical competence that sets standards
Cataract, fake lenses, corneal transplants, implantable contact lenses (ICL) – the anterior segment of the eye is his terrain. With surgical precision, an eye for what's feasible, and decades of experience, Neuhann has operated on more than 100,000 patients – not in series, but individually, with attitude and responsibility.
Why are there several techniques in refractive surgery – or in other words: in treatments for seeing without often annoying aids such as glasses or contact lenses? Because there is no “one for all”. It has clearly been shown: Only the individually chosen method can achieve the best long-term results. It was precisely this idea that led Dr. Neuhann senior to become the first German eye surgeon in 1995 to start treating more nearsighted patients with the implantable contact lens (ICL). The scientifically proven long-term results over 20 years, now supplemented by initial 30-year data, impressively confirm this decision. Just as we humans are individual, so are the treatment paths thought and chosen individually. This requires experience, medical know-how – and equipment that is not only technically up-to-date but is optimized for surgical precision and long-term safety, supported by intelligently programmed AI.
