Dr. med. Ilya Kotomin is a specialist in ophthalmology (FEBO) with particular expertise in cataract surgery, aesthetic eyelid surgery and modern lens implants.
Since 2013, he has been leading the Lampestraße location of the Leipzig Eye and Laser Center, focusing on functional and cosmetic procedures around the eye. Dr. Kotomin completed his studies at the Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy and the Philipps University of Marburg. His specialist training was under Prof. K. Engelmann at Chemnitz Clinic. In 2012, he passed the European specialist examination (FEBO) in Paris, and his doctorate at TU Dresden was awarded magna cum laude.

As a certified investigator, Dr. Kotomin was involved in the approval of numerous drugs and therapies. He is a member of the DOG and BVA.
